Salim needs an escalator

Some of the owners in Bloque 7A and 7B has the Aircondition-machines on the roofs.
The entrance to the roofs need keys and an escalator.
We are happy for the decision that nobody should enter the roof without Salims company, but we cannot understand that the community not will supply Salim with an escalator to be able to enter the roofs.
We have just learned that we (and and appr. 10 other owners)have to buy escalators ourselves if we want to enter the roof (together with Salim) to inspect our own properties - the A/Cs.
Is this correct?
We think it is more correct that the community buy the escalator

After speaking with the president it is felt that if anyone has the need to have their A/C unit seen to they should have a qualified engineer in to do the work. We can not see any reason why an owner would want to tamper with the equipment and Salim is certainly not qualified to do so either. In this case if someone has a need they should contact Tina and arrange for Salim to be available to escort their engineer to the roof. Any qualified professional engineer will have all the equipment he needs to do the job including a ladder (escalator) if required. The committee feels; that owners should not visit the roof them selves for health and safety reasons.

With the education as a machine- and electroengeneer, I feel more than competent to inspect and do the research for my own A/C, like I do with all my equipmnet within the flat. I find it unreasonable that the community force me to call an external engeneer and pay for the job only because Salim (and the community)dont have a ladder.

As mentioned in my introduction to the problem, yesterday morning:

I feel , community fees are for community needs, not a privately owned AC unit. It is too easy to have other owners pick up the bill for your private maintenance. Do we all share in the cool air of your AC?
